Ugh. Will this week ever end? It feels like it's been going on for ever.
However it was a lovely surprise to escape the salt-mines and step out into spring!
It was one of the beautiful-est days out there today.
Walking home I had to stop and take pictures of a sea of crocusesss on one lawn. They were frickin' everywhere.

So. I won a $100 liquor store gift card in a raffle just before Christmas.
Surprising as it sounds, I haven't used it yet. :o) The other day, silvrsolace brought me a BC Liquor Store Product Guide to help me with my grocery list.

My first look was the 'whiskies' just to see what they had in Highland Single Malts.
*OMG!* There is a "Macallan 50 year old Lalique" going for - wait for it - $7,731.77
What the hell! Who would even consider opening a seven thousand dollar bottle of anything?
But oooooh! Can you imagine the taste after fifty years? *sigh*

Anyway. I've been perusing the wines. There are too many to choose from!
So far "Beringers" is on the list already because it is practically nectar of the Gawds, "Painted Turtle" is on the list and so it "Phoque Blanc" just because of their names. But what else? Too.many.to.choose.from.....

So. Friendslist, do any of you have a wine you would love to recommend?

Also, I was surprised to see that there are "Organic Wines", and one vodka and a few beers. I might have to test taste some of them.

So, yeah, anybody please feel free to recommend some wines for me to buy, y'know y'wanna. :o)

Um, y'know, I don't recall seeing Arbor Mist in the listings. Funny that.

We love Robert Mondavi wines and Sutter Home. Our fave is Moscato. Very good. :)

Ooh, yes, yes, I've heard of both. "Moscato"? Must check that out.
Thanks sweetie.

Lately I'm drinking a lot of Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon, which isn't even very expensive! I'm also partial to Benziger's biodynamic wines (any of 'em!) and Luna Vineyard's Sangiovese.

Thank you. I'm going to see if my Liquor store carries any of these.
Yay, for yummy suggestions.

You probably don't get any New York State wines up there- because I'd highly recommend anything by Bully Hill if you did. I do like Yellow Tail too, you might get that there, pretty much anything they have is very good.

I don't think we do sadly, I'd love to try Bully Hill or Yellow Tail.
We do have a 'specialty' outlet that I know of downtown so I might pop in there and take a look. Thanks for the suggestions sweet pea.

Yellow Tail is an Aussie wine, I don't know if you get Aussie wines or not. The Chardonney is very good. But I do wish you got Bully Hill. The lables alone are worth it but they have fantastic blush wines.
