rrrosa, y'got me to thinkin'

I was just replying to a post by someone I hadn't seen around lj a long time.
Which is really weird because I was speaking to bossymarmalade just yesterday about not seeing this person around in ages - (because of this de-friending thing bouncing around lj I guess) and bizarre or what, here's a journal post from her the next day.
[Can we say, hello, Twilight Zone?]

I don't remember when I friended her - 'her' being rrrosa, but only remember that she was one of my first. [does that sound ominous or virginal, or is it just me?]
I was invited to join lj by stubbleglitter, what seems like years ago now, so of course she was my first first. And somewhere back then, I found rrrosa's journal and friended her.

I don't know if either of us know much more about one another, other than our addiction/love for well thought-out, well-made icons, but when I saw her post after so long not seeing one, it felt so nice. Like an old friend popping up unexpectedly. I was excited to see her icon there in among my 'friends' posts. Can you say you missed someone you don't really know?

There's probably a place to go and check to see when you added an ljer to your friends list but I don't know where that would be.
If I had to sit and list in order the people I've collected over the time here I don't think I could do it. Could you? I'm going to try. [unless some brainiac out there can point me in the direction of that chronological thingamahoozee that keeps that sort of info]

Another wonderful thing that's come out of live journal is meeting [in the flesh] some wonderful, wonderful friends. ms_nerd knows how we met and I think I'll leave it at that. And there are others I've had the pleasure of meeting while they were visiting Vancouver. (gremmie_goo, I haven't forgotten you)

I hope I have the opportunity to meet other lj friends as time goes on, either meeting up at concerts or events or vacation or just travelling to each other just for meeting sake.

We should get a humungous lj-meet-n-greet convention set up smack in the middle of everybody and hang out for a few days together.

But now I see I've rambled on far longer than I intended so, here's me shutting up.

Nice to see you again rrrosa. Don't be a stranger, y'hear.

Wow, you know what--this has just made my morning. And I know what you mean about being able to miss people you don't even particularly *know*.

Also, I have just engaged in some random stalking and realized that you don't live all that far from me (I'm in Central WA). If you have a gather, I'd love to be invited.

random stalking?
I don't warrent focused stalking? :o)

Darlin' consider this an open invite.
The "Vancouver Posse" could always use another 'honourary' member.
arami is in the Seattle area and comes up and visits from time to time.
You should too!!! Or the whole bunch of us will swoop down on you without warning. :o)

*wink* glad to see you back.

I'm yo' pusha, baby.

And, I'm not surprised about you foreseeing dear rrrosa. You are a Piscean, after all, and therefore slightly prescient. Being a Capricorn gives me nothing except bad knees.

Too bad you couldn't be all psychic about dentist appointments, though. *g*

Ahahah, dear rrrosa, who apparently either bored you or annoyed you. Hee!

And I'm Capricorn. With bad knees. Damn.

(actually, of course, I can't now remember if we were on each other's friends lists. My friends list is vaguely out of control.)

*g* I defriended you ages ago, man! For reasons of list manageability, I think it was then. You didn't fall under the new defriending politics.

And now I am older and wiser and have waaaay more net-time at work, and shall be adding you back. Whoo-hoo!

Our knees! Our knees! But at least we have good teeth, right? *g*

God, I contemplate the manageability cut periodically. I have, what, 230ish people on my friends list? It's a bit much sometimes. But I've been adding or re-adding people recently.

Don't feel obligated, though--I *am* boring! I promise. I mostly only post about knitting. And icons. Boooooring.

I knew *YOU'd* have a link to a thingamabobber.

Bad knees? At your age? The beez kneez maybe.

Dentist. I, it, I. I was on top of it.
I just didn't realize it was Wednesday.
I thought it was Tuesday today. Thassall.
(remind me I have another next Friday?)
