ew. Should I be concerned? Yesterdat's achy eye ball is all swollen. The white part of my eye that is now very red is swollen up around the rim of the iris and it hurts to blink. :o(

Going to apply cold compress now.</small> :o(

pinkeye? I've heard it's very contagious!

I panicked and thought the same thing and looked it up. I don't have the same symptoms.

With pink eye you get icky yellow stuff leaking from your eye and it feels like there's something in it scratching it. *blech*

Mine just aches and the white part is swollen?!?

It sounds like pinkeye! Oooh go to a clinic just in case.

Also tonight - I'm not going - I don't want to sit there with monotone woman and breathe that stale air when I'm sick. So no. I'm going to go home and pass out.

It doesn't sound like pink eye from the list of symptoms I read. *yuck!!*

I'm so sorry you're still feeling like death.
I was thinking of skipping monotone woman myself
- until Jane gets back actually.
- she makes me want to binge.

Going home and passing out is my vote too.

There is a type of conjunctivitis that is caused by allergy rather than a bacteria or a virus. It's not contagious and does not tend to cause the heavy discharge that the other types do. I should know--I've been battling it for nearly a month. You do need to see a doctor and get anti-inflammatory or antihistimine eyedrops. The cold compress is also a good idea. Hope it clears up faster for you than it has for me.

*gulp* I didn't need to know that. :o) But thank you very much for the info.
I don't know if it's what I have. The cold compresses seem to have done the trick. The swelling and aching have subsided. (Now hopefully it doesn't flare up over night!)
