Am sitting in the guest lounge of The Clyde hotel in downtown Portland.
Amtrak'd in about 5:00p.m. and just got back from a yummy dinner and walking around a bit.
Man!!! Portland is beautiful. And that's just from the view from the train on the way in. The train station is really nice - puts Seattle's to shame!!!
I'm not exactly sure when I'm supposed to wander down to the Tom McCall Waterfront Park to get in line but the tickets say the doors open at 11:00. I'm thinking I'm going to want to be there alot sooner than that.

Welcome to my beautiful city! I ended up sleeping most of the day away so I'm cleaning the house right now. Are you going to be up late or are you an early to bed kinda girl?

We aren't going to be a the LCSD until after noon because Blue isn't even getting in until 10:45 and we still have to drop her stuff off at my house afterward. Really, we only want to see JC and Ashlee so we're hoping for some kind of list to be published but no luck so far. :le sigh:

Mornin' HH. Any word on the playlist yet?
I just hung around my [cute, adorable!] room last night and chillin' after a nice steak and merlot dinner down the street.

Hon, do you know where in the park this shindig's happening?
I'm strolling down Stark to get there. How far a walk do I have from there in the park to get to the venue? Any idea?

You've got my cell #, right? I'm heading out to gawk at this pretty little city around 10:00. (I think)
Thought I'd eventually make my way down to the park by 11:00.

I'll check my email again before I leave if you see this reply.

Okay, shutting up now. babblebabblebabble.

I've got your cell # tucked safely in my wallet. As for directions, I'd ask the desk guy at your hotel. He might even lead you to the Max train, which is free downtown, and you can ride in style. The concert is at Tom McCall Waterfront park, which when facing the river, is to your far right.

And no word on playlist. Grrr... I'm just hoping for a beergarden where we can actually sit, be closer and screen out some of the teenie madness.

Can't wait to see you!!

Look for trickyjazzer and I! I'll be wearing dark jeans, a hot pink tank, a hot pink belt, and a jean jacket. Dark hair, black-framed glasses. :) She's got long blond hair and blue eyes. No idea what she'll be wearing. LOL

I wish!!! No, there's free internet access right in the building! They've converted one of their rooms into a guest lounge. They've got vending machines and this little pc in here for our use. Pretty cool, eh!!! I'd recommend this hotel to any one travelling to Portland. It's quaint and adorable and affordable IMHO.

Gotta fly - complimentary continental breakie awaits down on the mezzanine.
