I'm very, very fortunate to have a friend like
These little suckers are amazing but damn tricky. They have a little switch that turns the imaging from 'regular' to 'telephoto' but there's no change in the viewfinder to let you see just what you're getting in 'telephoto' mode. But there's this reeeeeeally pale little square in the tiny viewfinder that you have to center your desired subject in. On a bright sunny day on South Beach in 103 degree sun, that tiny little square is virtually invisible.
Needless to say, I cut off more heads in one afternoon than the inventor of the guillotine did in his entire career.
But that said,
I'll spare you my blow by blow run down of my experience in South Beach since just about everybody who was there already has. I met some wonderful and interesting people. The week-end was exciting and disappointing and confusing and amazing and thrilling and an eye opener all at the same time.
This is the view I had from the very top row of the suspicious scaffolding also known as the bleachers.

We got this little postcard from the CKST people. Cool!
This is one of the only pictures I got by the pool before my 'camera incident'. I don't wanna talk about it Stephanie, thanks for bringing me the part. :o(
This is the other one.
The club where we had the priviledge of standing for five hours because they roped off the dance floor and any seats around said dance floor. *pbbbst!*
The rest are all skills and need no dumb commentary.
