as the sirens get closer....

Okay, well, I'm not sure if I'm going back to bed anytime soon.
There's nothing like a cop yelling for back-up into his walkie-talkie right under one's bedroom window to get one sitting bolt straight up in bed with one's heart trying to thump its way out of one's throat.
Jeepers Creepers!!!
That scared the hot water out of me! And now the total silence out there is creeping me out.

Oh my goodness. Now that it's morning do you know what was going on? Did you manage to get back to sleep at all? I can only imagine how freaking scary that must have been. {{{{Choo}}}}

Once he left it stayed deathly quiet for the rest of the night.
I have no idea what happened. The cop started running along the building as he continued yelling that the guy, "shaved headed and was heading through people's back yards". I finally went back to bed around 2:30.
You're so sweet. ::hugs back::
Thank you for checking up on me. :o)

Thanks hon. ::squeezes favourite AJ::
It scared the pants off of me that's for sure!
I did finally get brave enough to crawl back into bed around 2:30 - 3:00.
Man, these cops must have lungs'o'steel. It sounded like he'd been chasing his suspect for blocks. [and you know how hilly my neighbourhood is] Hopefully there aren't any hijinx tonight.
