A whole lot of rambling for a new icon

glockgal made me one of her custom one-sheet BD cards. "glockgal birthday card art"
::*NSync::LotR::ToD::OC:: omitted: SG1
I had to make an icon out of the top left panel. I love ironed hair!JC!!!

I met glockgal, her sister (now)bossymarmalade and silvrsolace five years ago in one of the most socially inept fandoms ever known to man (I think). I swear we were the only sane people in it. Anyway...we've been hanging out ever since, and together we've migrated like nomads through a few more fandoms since then.

These new fandoms we drifted through gave Glock new characters to draw when my birthday rolled around. Well, I'm still deeply rooted in the crazy and entertaining *NSync fandom which means; no new heartthrobs to draw to make me squeeee. But she managed to make me squeeee and cry some even though I told her that the watery eyes were from the sun.

And bossymarmalade did a great job as usual and wrote me not one but two birthday fic! Andrew Dann-Jumbo and Evan Farmer are hot! // *NSync Fish'n'Chip AU is hillarious and adorable.
"While You Were Out and DeepFry!Sync"

Y'know dear journal, I've met some really amazing people because of fandoms. The majority of them in this one.
I really wish I could meet a lot more of my LJ friends in the 'for-real-world' like I did glock and stubble and sabu and everybody in the Vancouver posse. Maybe this year I'll get to meet one or two more. Who knows.

Kare, kare honey...what am I supposed to do with it? Can I use it a bit at a time?
thank you again for everything

Well. I managed to be more long winded than I wanted. Ibettergonowokaybye.

The OC. Sandy said 'slante'. That probably doesn't mean anything to anyone but it made me shiver! Watch it Ryan, that little señiorita's gonna bring you mucho trouble.

(haven't made it to bed..big surprise! *laugh*)

and yes, I think you can. when you check out using PayPal you just keep making sure to click on "redeem code" when you're paying. It'll keep detracting until it's gone.

email me if you're confused. I'll see if I can walk you through it.

(haven't made it to bed..big surprise! *laugh*)

Didn't you say in a post tonight that you bailed on your bar buddies because you said you were tired....why aren't you in bed? LOL
::scolds with stern motherly glare::

email me if you're confused.
I'll see if I panic while I'm in there looking around - I'll definitely email you if I do! :o)

Lance Sweet dreams doll! Thanks again for, y'know, all of it.

Happy Birthday! I hope you had a gorgeous time--it sounds like it.

And don't forget the open invite to Seattle...

the open invite to Seattle...

Note taken! I would love to come visit/meet you Chris!!!! You know you're welcome to visit here too.
Hey, do our great nations share any mutual statutory holidays any time soon? I'd love to come and invade on a long week-end some time!!
Maybe I'll come down for a JC Chasez show or two, or three or..., hell maybe I'll turn in to a ChasezHead and follow him around the country from gig to gig. Ahhhh to be that irresponsible and rich.
(I know you will know what the head reference means)
Feb. 23rd, 2004 10:38 pm (UTC)
That would rock. Are there any dates for the afore-mentioned Chasez tour, or is it all still randomly and vaguely sometime starting in April?

And. If you want, I don't have dates yet, but the cabaret/comedy showcase is coming up sometime in April. I'll be pimping it madly when I get dates and stuff, but those shows are always fun, and not just because I'm in them. Actually, due to nerves and stuff, the part where I sing is not always the funnest part for me--I just love the rest of the gang, they rock.

I think the next long weekend I have is Memorial Day in May--May 31st, I think? Getting out of the states on Memorial Day is always good with me... *grin*

Tour dates for Le Chasez are still vague. April-ish.
The Cabaret/Comedy Showcase sounds like it would be a blast! Maybe a bunch of the Vancouver Posse could car pool down for a week-end! It would be very very cool to see you perform!
Then you can come visit us on the Memorial Day week-end. Let's make this happen, 'kay?
Feb. 29th, 2004 11:39 am (UTC)
OK, I officially have a moratorium on saying how much I suck for being so late with all my comments this week, but yes.

That sounds great. As soon as I get dates for the April thing, I'll let you know, and Memorial Day in Vancouver sounds like a lot of fun...
Mar. 1st, 2004 07:42 pm (UTC)
I suck
:o) and I'm sure you're very popular because of that. (o:

I hope I (we) get to motor down there to see you one week-end in April in the cabaret if you'll have me (us).
I take up a lot of room and offend instantly
If we don't see you in April, we'll come down there and drag you back up here in May.

So, like try and get back to me before April will ya? *wink* :o)
Mar. 4th, 2004 10:42 pm (UTC)
Actually, I just found out the show's going to be May 1st. So at least I have a confirmed date for that. I'll be spamming more about that soon, no doubt. And I would love to come up to see you all in May.

I have just a one bedroom, with a queen sized air mattress in the living room for guests... Just so you know the housing possibilities at chez moi.

And I don't offend easily. Also, I'd always heard that folks from BC were just naturally more polite than people down here, so your definition of being rude may be more sensitive. *grin*

When I came up to Vancouver for the Neil Gaiman signing a couple of years ago, the folks at Virgin organized it fairly poorly, so there was this (polite and friendly, but still) seething mass of people converging on the poor guy, instead of a line. I got separated from my friends (mostly Vancouver residents), and they were gesturing to me to cut through the crowd. But I didn't want to cut in line or push, so I said, no, it's fine. The woman next to me turned to me and said, "Oh, go ahead. Pretend you're American." I cracked up, and said, "As it happens, I am." She blushed prettily. I took it as a compliment.

oh! and I didn't read all your question. Just bid (make sure they accept paypal) and when you win you use the paypal link they usually have on the page.
Feb. 23rd, 2004 10:32 pm (UTC)
Oooo_kay. That sound easier than it probably is. I'm eBayly challenged at times. I'm gonna go look around soon and see if there's anything that I can buy right out and not get all anxious about bidders out-bidding me. Do you know if it can be used as 'part' of a payment? I'm making this more complicated than it has to be aren't I?
Feb. 23rd, 2004 10:34 pm (UTC)
*nod* it'll take as much of it as there is and the rest will be paid for with your "normal" means of payment.
Feb. 23rd, 2004 10:59 pm (UTC)
*cuddles* ;))
Feb. 23rd, 2004 11:21 pm (UTC)
*hee!!* My LetterBoy's spoiling me with all this lovin'!!
go ahead, don't stop!!
Feb. 23rd, 2004 11:29 pm (UTC)

Well, I guess I could ;)

I'd love to meet you, I'd love to meet anyone that gets the slash thing actually. It's lonely here on my lonesome. Just me and my pervy slashy sparkly thoughts.
Feb. 25th, 2004 11:12 am (UTC)
It's lonely here on my lonesome.

What? :o( There aren't any pop slashers in your neck of the woods? I think they're just in hiding. We're everywhere, aren't we?
We should shake a couple of trees and see if any fall out.
Feb. 24th, 2004 07:21 am (UTC)

Feb. 24th, 2004 09:17 am (UTC)
Natalie! Goodness!!! Thank you sweetheart. I'm speechless.
You're too adorable for words. I love you too! You are one of the greatest people I've met too!! *muah*muah*muah*!!!
Feb. 24th, 2004 09:15 am (UTC)
oooooh! The new icon is much with the pretty and suits you. *g* Sweet ironed-hair JC!! And he matches your watermelon-coloured lj. Very nice.

one of the most socially inept fandoms ever known to man (I think)

You doubt it? I have only two words for you: SERGEANT BOUTON. (Do you like my derisive faux-French pronunciation?) We must visit her webpage again when drunk and have a good ol'fashioned reading party. "Goin' Down" was such a friggin' masterpiece, man.

I think we could pretty much tell from that first night when you had warmed-up Scotch and we accidentally kept the restaurant open that we'd be firm friends for a long, long time. How could we not? *snuggle*

(Incidentally, I kept the reciept from all our drinkin' for ages in my wallet, but when we were going to DC I think I took a bunch of stuff out that never got put back in. Damn. I wonder if I still have it at home?)

Feb. 24th, 2004 09:42 am (UTC)
*eeeeee!* isn't ironed hair!JC beautiful!!? Hey, yeah! He does match the watermelon. Cool coinkeedink!

Oh mon Dieux!!! Bouton! AAAAAhahahahahaha!!!!!

and we accidentally kept the restaurant open
Did we really? I had no idea. How much of that scotch did I drink? I still have the goblet I *cough*pinched*cough.
Chootoy Lt. the Clepto. Gee! I wasn't even Chootoy then. Good times. Good times.
I'm happy that we took the chance on each other!

I kept the reciept from all our drinkin' for ages in my wallet

Good God!!! How much drinking did we do? We were really trying to emulate Bravo Company weren't we?! Drinkin' like a bunch'a'grunts.
