Oooh! You got to use your icon already!

*grin*

You know, I got no problem with LJers talking about it--I just scroll past, lalalala--it seems to me that's the level of importance, as a celebrity dealie that causes a fandom kerfuffle, and fair enough.

But yeah, the whole national news/big kiss-my-ass federal investigation. Dear God, I can think of fifteen things off the top of my head that I'd rather have investigated, and 5 things just for the FCC alone. Please. Those are my tax dollars you're pissing away there, dammit. (That would be the generic "you," not the you "you." *grin*)

Re:
Oh, dude, totally. And all the talk about banning Janet and Justin from performing at the Grammys? That's complete hysteria-mongering. They let all kinds of people who are under investigation for sexual assault and wife-beating and whatnot into the Grammies, and they want to ban these two for an accidental tit-flashing? Good Lord.

Re:
No fucking way. I knew there was a reason I've been ignoring the news stuff on this. So, what you're saying is that people are calling for that, right? Not that the Grammy's is actually threatening that? Because the first is appalling but expected (Nick: "expectable" *grin* Hey, I gotta get my giggles where I can this week.). If the second is true, well, that's a level of hypocrisy I haven't seen 'round these parts in a while.

Re:
I think the story is that the FCC and CBS are investigating to determine whether or not it actually was an accident; if it's found that Janet and Justin "conspired" to expose her breast, then they'll be banned from performing at the Grammies. It's completely unbelievable, the overblown proportions this has taken on!

Re:
Wait, so two people who are accused of child molestation are being allowed to go to the Grammys, but there's a question about Justin and Janet because they exposed a mammary gland?

WTF is wrong with this picture?

Re:
Fucking stupid, isn't it? I wasn't keen in the first place on R.Kelly's career proceeding as if nothing had happened (who's the second person accused of molestation? I can't remember); but now when these two are going to be so heavily penalized for an accidental stunt? It takes on even more stupidity. I guess if R.Kelly had molested that girl during the Superbowl, it would be a bigger deal to people than it seems to be.

Ah! Right. I guess at this point I just take that as a given.

Re:
Banning them from the Grammys will make it all better? Right. AND I read that there's a possible fines for the two of them between 25 and 30 million dollars each.

Re:
::rolls eyes::
I can't believe ALL the pardon my French fucking coverage that this is getting.

By the way...what was the score? Did anyone watch the rest of the game or go into apoplectic shock after the melon drop?

I'm off to reply to your Bodean comment now

Re:
The game drove me absolutely CRAZY. It was one of the best I've seen. Patriots over the Panthers, 32-29, and really, it closer than the score suggests!

A fucking election, a war, lowest unemployment rating, healthcare decline, and THIS is the cover story of the nightly news? And I'm just talking about the U.S., not even the global coveraget that happens...oh wait, never.

You made me laugh at least. Thank God for that. *smooch*
