Was just looking at the possibilities

How much does expedia.ca inflate prices on flights?

I may not admit it, but I might want to go to CFTC this summer. Play along with me here.

So, like I plugged in "departing Vancouver" July15. Plugged in "departing Miami" July 20.
Vancouver to Miami return = $571 on AirWest. $606 on AirCanada. promising!

Plan B: I thought that if I didn't go to Miami on those dates, I'd go to Ottawa instead and make a surprise visit to my mother.
Vancouver to Ottawa return = $726 on AirCanada. that can't be right!!!

It costs more to fly in Canada than it does to fly all the way to Miami.
That just doesn't make any frickin' sense to me.

Checked into a combination of flights [yes, I'm pretending I won the lottery, shuddup] Now to be refered to as "The Three Way" with extended dates obviously

Vancouver to Miami. Miami to Ottawa. Ottawa back to Vancouver. $918 AirCanada. double checks

WTF!!?! A difference of roughly $200. from the Vancouver to Ottawa price for two destinations.
Doesn't make ANY sense to me. I think I'll count up my aeroplan points / aeromiles and see if I get anywhere with that.

now to see just how difficult it is to a. rob a bank. or b. become a prostitute.
Hmmmm. What can one get for a slightly used lung? We can survive with just one, right?

You MUST go to CFTC! I'm all pissed off because right now the rates are about $350 from Portland and Miami. Last year, I flew rt to Ft. Lauderdale for $160 so I'm waiting a few months to see if it gets better later.

An option you might want to consider: Drive down to my place and we'll fly together from Portland! Just a thought:)

How's your head?

Welcome to the Clepto Club
I can't believe the cost of flights in the U.S. I'm so jealous.- you're able to fly clear across the country for under $200. The frickin' planes in Canada must be built out of gold or something.

Coming down to you first is a very tempting option. I will keep it at the top of the list of possible routes to take the SDBs

My head's good. :o) Thanks so much for asking. *muah*

*just check'd departures from Seattle for my "Three Way". $794 Canoodian. It's getting better. wOOt!

Easier to shake loose a kidney than a lung there, hon. Besides, doctors prefer lungs in pairs.

I'm still on the CFTC fence, but I hope you're able to make it! Everyone who goes always seems to have a wildly enjoyable time.

I'm still on the CFTC fence
Yeah, I'm draped over it too, with leanings towards going *especially* if I can tack a trip to see my family onto it.

I could drop you off in Seattle!

It depends when you fly, right? It's high season in Canada, but low season in Miami. So flying within Canada will be a higher price in the summertime. ALSO, you should wait until they have spring/summer sales on to book your flight. As long as you book 30 days in advance, so it's not 'let's fuck them over' prices. If you sign up for their newsletters, they'll let you know when they are having a seat sale. It's usually in April if I remember.

Have you tried Westjet? They're usually cheaper. Or JetsGo.

IF I do go, I'd be leaving on a week day. But you're sweet to offer.

What "their" are you referring to? AirCanada? ::skips off to check::

Have you tried Westjet? [...] Or JetsGo.
Haven't checked either. Will Westjet fly all the way to Miami? Isn't JetsGo restricted to Cdn routes?
I know, I'll go look.
Thanks for the tips Lance.

We seeing you today after BellyDancing? I'm just askin'
