That's kind of sad. Yeah, there are a few cheesey 'peel-off' pumpkin, ghost and witch stickers on a few front windows but that's about it. I remember when people would cob-web entire front porches, park styrofoam headstones in the yard, have a half a dozen ghosts swinging in a tree in their front yards and have a gallery of elaborately carved pumpkins on their front steps. Either I'm not looking hard enough or people just aren't that into it anymore. *sad sigh*
Is the economy to blame? Is this 'holiday' in danger of extinction?
Where will the little princesses, little cowboys, pint-sized super heroes and babies dressed up as pumpkins end up? What will pet owners do on October 31st now that they can't make rover into a Star Wars vehicle or their unimpressed cat into a pirate for the day?
