I chew everything on the same side. I think this means I'm overdue for a dentist appointment. :)

Try switching sides? It'll even out the wear-and-tear. :o)

No, I meant I can't chew on one side because I have a cavity or something that makes it (usually) painful. That's why I need to go to the dentist, which I haaaaaate.

Also, I didn't explain the bottled water thing because I knew Maggie would and I could just point to her and say "what she said!" *g* I triplemegaheart my water filter pitchers--one's Brita and one's not. They are the best investments I ever made.

You should never give me an opening to start in about bottled water!!

Environmentally, bottled water not only is a hazard in the most obvious way (producing hideous amounts of plastic waste) but also because the demand for it is depleting water aquifers in many parts of the world.

This ties into the political atrocities that the bottled water fad causes: in Bolivia and India, poor people are denied access to clean drinking water because big corporations (Bechtel, Coca-Cola) are intent on making water their Next Big Commercial Endeavour.

And this leads to the socio-political and ideological dangers of bottled water: ounce for ounce, bottled water (which is mostly filtered water from your own municipal tap) costs more than gasoline. We are being trained to spend exorbitant amounts of money for a HUMAN NECESSITY, one that I firmly believe should be free and accessible for all people. Potable water is a human right, not a designer drink for fashionable dieters.

When I get into these rants, inevitably people start defensively telling me, "oh, but my municipal water isn't good! it's full of minerals! it's awful to drink!" Fine. That's understandable. BUY A BRITA FILTER.

Oh my little spicy latte, I put that question in hoping you'd leave a heartfelt comment just like this!
